Join Chef Frances Wilson and I for a fun and unique cooking experience at a sustainable and USDA-certified organic operation in Sonoma County. True Grass Farms is a ranch that raises cattle, pigs, and chickens in a humane and sustainable way. Don’t miss this incredible opportunity to see how a fourth-generation ranching family is dedicated to honoring and nurturing both its land and its animals.

First, we will take a tour to learn how True Grass Farms maintains a balanced pastureland which in turn contributes to healthy grass-fed animals and great-tasting meat. Next, we will prepare a delicious meal together featuring True Grass pork, beef and eggs, and other local West Marin ingredients, before sitting down outside for a meal. Feel free to bring wine or other beverages to drink with lunch.

You should wear comfortable shoes, as well as a hat and sunblock because much of the class will be held outside.

About The Field Kitchen: The Field Kitchen is a unique series of cooking classes that will be held at Northern California farms and ranches dedicated to sustainable agriculture and food production. Students will learn how their food is grown, and will get to know the people who are farming it. We will have the pleasure of cooking and sharing meals together in the very places where our food comes from.
